David Ploesser is a dynamic sales leader with experience driving growth while cultivating high-performance teams in the insurance sector. In his role as Regional Vice President of Sales for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, he leads strategic initiatives that strengthen client partnerships and empower his teams to deliver bespoke solutions for Missouri’s commercial employers.

Before joining Anthem, David held successive leadership positions at one of the nation’s largest insurance agencies, where he spearheaded market development efforts throughout Missouri. His ability to align cross-functional teams around customer-centric product offerings consistently translated into sustained market share gains while building institutional processes for efficiency and growth.

David earned his MBA from the University of Missouri’s Trulaske College of Business, where he remains actively involved as a member of the Advisory Board. He also serves as Chairman of the Board for Children’s Miracle Network – St. Louis, championing pediatric health initiatives across the region. A dedicated father of two, David balances his professional commitments by exploring new destinations and creating lasting memories with his family.
