John Prater is Director of Reporting & Analytics for the Anthem Advisory Services team. In this role, John provides analytics support to several of the organization’s largest clients, leveraging data to monitor plan performance, evaluate population health, and drive strategy.

John has more than 15 years of experience in the health insurance industry, with the majority of that time in analytics and consulting roles. Most recently he worked on the Product Performance team at Carelon, where he led the development of the first generation of enterprise client reporting. Prior to his time at Carelon, he spent 12 years at Health Care Service Corporation in a variety of marketing and analytics roles, including leading a team in the Client and Product Analytics division, which provided analytics and strategic support for many of the company’s largest employer group clients.

John has B.A. degrees in Journalism and Creative Writing from Southern Methodist University. He resides in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
