Tonja Burke
Employer Service Representative

Tonja Burke is an Employer Service Representative. She has been with thecompany since 2017. Prior to working at Anthem, Tonja worked as amanager in customer service for 10 years. Tonja started her career at Anthem as a traditional customer service representative. Her love for helping people moved her into the Anthem Health Guide service areas within nine months of being with the company.

Her drive for helping others moved her to the Operations Expert position after three years. While being an Operations Expert, she was able to work with Employer Service Representatives and Client Management to identify client specific benefit issues and worked diligently with other Anthem units to resolve those issues. She has been recognized for her ability to solve complex issues and bridge gaps internally, while providing a high level of customer satisfaction.

Outside of work, Tonja, and her family travel often. She enjoys the outdoors, going camping and going to concerts with her husband whenever she gets a chance. She also loves spending time with her three dogs. In both her personal and work life, Tonja strives to be personable, dedicated, and resourceful.

In her role as an Employer Service Representative, Tonja promotes collaboration and builds relationships. Both internally and externally, to be a proactive advocate for Anthem and the clients she serves.
